I'm not sure I'll survive internetless long enough to be able to post this, with any luck the outage won't persist too long. I have a feeling it's probably a result of the guys across the road laying a new driveway, the last time I had to cope without the web it was cos of something they were pissing around with. So in lieu of any proof, I shall be blaming them...bastards!
I've no idea why they don't consider doing the courtesy of letting people know, I mean there's only something like 22 dwellings in the village and it's probably its only going to be something which affects less than half the properties. How hard is it to stick a bit of paper through letter boxes informing us of the approximate length of the inconvenience and an token apology for the same?
Ok it may not be a huge deal in the scheme of things; 'Oh no, the phones are out, however will we cope...unaffected mobile coverage aside?' But it seems to me symptomatic of what's generally wrong with society at large...
Rather than taking into account that some people may be using the phone lines during the day and having the common decency to forewarn those likely to be effected, they simply shut them off. And it's the issue of a community rather than individualistic approach to others that seems increasingly eroded. But fear not, this isn't about to become a letter to the editor of the Daily Mail...however I do lay all the blame on liberal immigrant gay dole scrounging gypo's.
But maybe this is all just my way of distracting myself from wondering what exactly is in barbecue flavoured beef burgers which makes the fat run-off bright orange?
